作品以只能依靠维生仪器活着的少女「各务桂菜」为主角，在现实世界失去自由的她，只能在VRMMORPG「里亚德录」中四处探险。在因为仪器停止运作的意外中失去生命，没想到却转生到200年后的「里亚德录」之中。她将以高等精灵「葵娜」的身份，在新世界中旅行，尝试调查200年空白期间所发生的事件。。神经质的小女子阿凯一直当歌星李凯丽为心中偶像，将自己辛苦写出来的歌送给她，希望由凯丽亲口唱出来，却惹来一鼻子灰。阿凯趁凯丽约会男友时再次将新写的歌给她，但又遭拒绝，情急之下，阿凯将凯丽打昏并绑架……。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
